Jersey is a Hindi sports drama film written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. It stars Shahid Kapoor as a former cricketer who returns to the game for his son’s wish of buying a Jersey T-shirt, alongside Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor.

Summary of the Jersey 2022 Movie
The recently released book Jersey has caused a stir among cricket fans, as copies are being sold quickly. The book details the story of former domestic cricketer Arjun Talwar.
During the late 1970s through the mid-1980s, Talwar was one of India’s most promising batsmen.
When Arjun Talwar was a young man, he had the dream of playing cricket. However, in 1995, Arjun is forgotten and jobless. He lives a middle class life with his wife Vidya and son Kittu.
He has left cricket behind him and currently faces suspension from his job due to an accusation of bribery. Arjun promises the original jersey of the Indian Cricket team to Kittu on his birthday but cannot afford it being jobless.
Meanwhile, Vidya tries to run the house with steady income. Arjuna gets an offer of assistant coach from his coach Baali sir which he rejects but Baali convinces him to play for a charity match against New Zealand which he accepts hoping to get the Jersey for Kittu from the match fees.
Even after 10 years, Arjun is still an excellent batsman. But he loses the match by two runs and also finds that being a charity match, he won’t be paid.
The same day, it is Kittu’s birthday, and Arjun cannot arrange money to buy him a gift. He gets pissed at Baali, who accuses him of losing his confidence in cricket at an early age and currently at job.
Arjun returns to Baali, saying that while he wants to return to cricket, he does not want to serve as a coach. He instead wants to play on the field again.
However, Baali tells him that considering his age and fitness level, it’s impossible for him to come out as a player again. Arjun does not give up hope and tries making a comeback as a player at an age where cricketers retire.
